| Bio: | I think the Chinese zodiac fits this kid a little better than the traditional Western one. I'm a water tiger. As I recall, water tigers are capable of aggressively pursuing anything they really want, but are just as likely to wile away the hours in fascination with the simplest things. That's me to a tee -- generally amiable and no threat to anyone. I AM fascinated by the simplest things, just like a kitten. But, if it's something I really believe in -- a vision -- watch out! When the tiger comes out, I can, and have, accomplished great things... Born in St. Louis; raised in the Ozarks of Southeast Missouri. I'm a country boy at heart, but have developed slightly more sophisticated tastes over time. But, I'm still a nature lover. B.S., Cum Laude, in Physics, 1984. Got my commission through ROTC. Spent 10 years in the Air Force before I came to my senses. Have spent the last twelve years working in the simulation field. My British friends tell me I'm a "Boffin" -- a person who works in a small, locked room on things most people don't understand. Sorta like "Q" in the Bond movies. Still looking for that ideal job, though. Despite all this "techie" background, I find myself growing more interested in arts and crafts. I love books -- generally read five or six at a time. My main pastime is playing with toy soldiers. I'm a pewter addict. I paint 'em, mount 'em on bases, then march them around on a terrain table and roll dice to see who gets sent back to the shoe box for the night. Unlike the real thing, noone gets hurt in my "Little Wars" (well, if they do, at least they're reincarnated for the next time). I've been happily married for over 17 years to my favorite island girl. We fly to Hawai'i whenever we can (even though she's Chamorro, she was born in Honolulu). She's a dragon. When the tiger and the dragon get together, there are bound to be fireworks -- romantic and otherwise... | |||||
